Spring Break times 2!

Hi All! Just wanted to update you. It's been quite a while since I posted anything up here. I flew back to IN last week. It was a good time. I got to go to all of the activities that the kids do, and I got to hang out with the family and my friends. Now I am back to work. BUT NOT FOR LONG! Yes! The Haley/Wong Clan is coming to visit, and we are so excited. I'm taking that week off too, for my second round of spring break. Looking forward to hanging out with everyone at the nicest place I've ever been. Ha Ha! Some people think that is the funniest thing they have ever heard:) Lily, you better get your swim gear on! I heard your mom bought you a fun new swim suit for the trip. Ok, I'll see you soon!

Happy Birthday Dad!

Friday my Dad and Wendy came to visit. We did our usual dinner at McGuire's. Saturday was my Dad's birthday. This is his birthday celebration. Joe got him some hunting stuff and I gave him a picture of the two of us. We had the birthday dinner at Hemingway's. Fitting since that is my dad's favorite author! We had a pretty good time!

Tokyo!

Thursday night we went to Tokyo for some sushi! It's the best. These are my friends from work. Ms. Brenna (the english teacher) is demonstrating a dance she performs in her classroom. Pretty good huh.
I'm sure some of you are wondering if Joe ate sushi. The answer is NO. He ordered some kind of steak but it didn't go over very well. No worries though. It wasn't anything that a pit stop at Burger King couldnl't fix!

Happy Valentine's Day

I just wanted to wish everyone a happy valentine's day. I would also like to add(Chris and Carey will appreciate this) that Joe has now been working exactly one hour a day for over a week. I am happy for him to have this time off, but I am getting extremely jealous now. Plus with President's day coming up, he'll get another 72 hours off. Meanwhile, I will be at an 8 hour child abuse training. Something is really wrong here. Next place we go, I'm working for the government. By that I mean through the military. A counselor from Fleet and Family Services told Joe that I should apply for a job there. They make $40,000 starting. It's a good thing I love my girls so much. However, I can't promise that my loyalty for the troubled youth of the world will carry on to our next destination. In fact, unless I can get summers off or a giant pay increase, I can almost say it won't. Is that way too superficial? Ok, that is all. My complaining has come to an end. I just have to bring these facts to the fore front. I overheard many conversations that occured this weekend where Joe told lots of people that I was a fuddy dud and wouldn't do anything. Just so you know, that'a partly b/c I have to go to work and he doesn't!!!! I know that there will be a time where I will be eating my words and Joe will be working more hours than any person should, but as of now, that is not the case! Love You All!

Hockey Game

After Georgio's we went to an Ice Pilots game. That was pretty fun too. Joe and his friends are getting ready to throw the pucks they purchased to win $900. They put out a very small target and everyone throws their pucks from the stands. No one really even came close. That did not take away from their fun though. There were a couple of fights during the game that made their trip worth it!

Last weekend Joe and his friends found a good pizza place with good beer specials. So, we went back this weekend with some of his friends. It was a good time. I wanted to show you the way the serve the beer. It's funny. Looks like a giant blender.

Did it Again

Ok, so this is getting silly. I've been working out for about three weeks. The first time I finally decide to do an ab work out I pull it again! It's not as bad as last time but my belly is a big, lumpy swollen balloon! I don't get it. I guess now I will just have to skip over the abs when I'm working out. No problem. I hate crunches anyway!

Dome Home

The actual name of the house is the "Dome Home". Right now it is a vacation rental. That's what the sign out front said. There didn't appear to be anyone in the house right now. We can take a drive by when you guys come so you can see the whole thing!

Portofino

Hi Guys! Today we went to check out Portofino. They let us look at the condo you all will be staying in and it is awesome. We can't wait for you to see it. These pictures are good, but they don't really do it justice. The whole place is amazing. We are so excited that you are coming!

Documenting the Lunacy

I thought it might be fun to give everyone a quick glance into the Haley household and show people what happens when everyone is home. These are some pictures of Abbie killing the boys in a heated match of bow and arrows. Word has it that Matt cheated and gave Abbie a quick side kick to the face, but she still came out victorious.
These were the best pictures I could get. It was hard to take them because they were running around the house like crazy people.

Home with Matt and Mike

With Matt living in Virginia now and Mike living in Michigan, it was nice to be able to see them while we were home. They both got to see the baby and then later we all went out.

Following the big night out, was the "who could get home first" competition between Matt and Joe. This is Carey screaming for her life! Luckily we did make it home in one piece, and then it was on to another game of Texas Hold'em.

Christmas

The big excitement this Christmas was the new puppy! Maddie asked Santa to bring her a bulldog, and there he was Christmas morning!
I didn't get a picture of Allie with the dog, but she has been quite the little mother.

Home for Christmas!

Well, unlike the public school sysytem, our school still has one more day to go until the break starts. Boy, does it show. The girls at work are crazy!
We are so excited to come home. This time we will actually be able to stay for a while and visit. We get to stay for 6 days. Joe might stay a little longer, but I have to go back to work on the 30th. Hope you all are doing well! I can't wait to see everyone!!!!

Joe hit the big time!

As most of you know, Joe has started flying now. I thought you all might like to see him with all of his gear.

Henry at the beach!

Last weekend we took Henry to the beach for the first time. It has been a long time since Joe had been down there. It was a little cool, but it was fun. We collected some neat shells that the tide had washed up. Henry also discovered seagulls on this trip. You'll note that in one picture Joe is running down the beach to try to catch Henry as he took off to attack the birds. They were not afraid of such a tiny dog. Joe had to save him. They were swooping down and getting really close to scooping him up!
